What Jem does

Jem inspires people to find their courage and unlock their potential with unshakable self-belief.  A great deal of people’s lives are spent in the ‘passenger seat’.  Jem will enable you to get out into the adventure zone, visualise and achieve more.  You will go away thinking differently about yourselves.

Inspirational Speaker & Keynote Speaker

Sometimes a story is all it takes for you to change perceptions and view the world differently, it might be a situation you are completely unfamiliar with or a scenario you can relate to on different levels.  However, it works for you, Jem has many stories from challenging experiences that can inspire and motivate an audience.

“In the moment I committed and exited the tail ramp of the Aircraft, following the rest of my heavily kitted up, highly trained, Elite Special Forces Team, my world changed! At 800 feet you don’t think you act, instinctively, accurately and fast. When my main chute failed I cursed – my training instinct kicked in “there’s a drill for this – do it NOW so I did. Then, to my horror my reserve chute failed to deploy – I didn’t curse!”

Clearly Jem is here to tell the rest of this story but what happened next and how did he come out the other side – just one of his many life experiences that will engage and captivate an audience.

Team ‘Esprit De Corps’

Jem will show you how to develop ‘Esprit De Corps’, a feeling of pride and mutual loyalty shared by the members of your team.

Combining unique experiences gained from the Elite British Special Forces and working in his own business, Jem can provide a refreshing learning experience. Creating a dynamic insight into, Teamwork, Leadership, Accountability, Mental Toughness (Grit) and Communications. Every team needs an opportunity to plan, brief, de-brief, to look at what is working, what can be improved and what can take you to the next level. Jem delivers a powerful external perspective to help you realise this potential.

Coaching and Mentoring

“Occupation does not define leadership. There is good leadership and there is bad. The principles of the Special Forces are found off the battlefield in highly successful teams and organisations around the Globe.”

Fulfilling a leadership role can be a very lonely place often defined by the reluctance to confide in another individual. Having an objective third party can help you learn the skills to believe in yourself and manage the obstacles in your path.

Working together, I’ll help you create a strong and positive mindset and provide you with the strategies and skills to accelerate your success.

I can help you overcome personal objections, taking a step-by-step approach to guide teams and individuals towards their vision – championing, challenging, supporting and cajoling along the way.

Learning and personal development is really important to help us grow and reach the next level.  Over many years I have developed a passion to help people improve and grow.  I know ‘inside’ we all have a desire to do better and become the ‘Best Version We Can Be’.  Just sometimes we may need a helping hand.

What comes out of you when you are squeezed is what’s inside of you

Teamwork

Learning how to create an ‘Esprit de Corps’ identity to transform individual players into high performing teams is an art. Not everybody works or thinks in the same way so how do you unlock your potential to manage and integrate a successful team formula? Want to know?

Leadership

Often a very lonely place with huge responsibility which can lead to feelings of isolation. It can be the most rewarding place to be if you get it right so how do you balance the need for making those difficult decisions whilst staying connected at every level across the business? Want to know?

Accountability

Standing up and being counted, putting your head above the parapet can be very daunting but it defines your ability to progress your goals and objectives. You are responsible for being clear about your strategy, accountable for your objectives and delivering clear communications. Do you have it?

Mental Toughness (Grit)

Creating a winning mind-set requires purpose, persistence, focussed determination, trust, self-respect, personal responsibility and loyalty. Do you have it? Do you want it?

Communication

From intern to CEO, both up & down the communication chain, information needs to be clear and understood.  From capturing the vision to implementing the action, the whole team should understand the objective.

Thank you Jeremy for being an integral part of Teens Unite ‘Discover You’ event; a day dedicated to motivating young people diagnosed with cancer to still achieve their goals and aspirations in life. You have such an inspirational and engaging story to share and your time on stage captivated the attention of everyone in the room. You made the perfect motivational speaker, delivering your speech with such emotion, professionalism and enthusiasm and I know how beneficial your words were to the young people we support. Thank you.

Debbie PezzaniCEO and Founder, Teens Unite

I had the pleasure of watching Jem provide a motivational speech on his story and the importance of goal setting at ‘Discover You’ – a day held by Teens Unite Fighting Cancer for 12-24 year old’s with cancer and those in remission.
It was an incredible speech documenting his rise through his time in service and his falls which clearly resonated with those in attendance.

Jem has a great story to tell. It makes you realise that anything is possible with focus and determination. He is engaging and entertaining and definitely has a unique approach to life. Jem spoke at a recent Masterclass that I organised and the feedback has been very good. I would definitely recommend him.

I was privileged to be invited as a guest of a select group of successful business owners to sit in an audience to hear Jem Hills speak. As a speaker myself, and trusted by my clients to inspire, motivate and train their leadership and business teams, I was initially critical and curious as I have seen many speakers in the past who unfortunately left me wanting, they had great promotional material but delivered weak material poorly.

I was very pleasantly surprised. He held me and the rest of the audience in awe and on the edge of our seats as he shared a small part of the incredible story of his life experiences and shared with us valuable lessons, many of which have helped me reinforce my own messages. More importantly he left me desperately wanting him to share more with me; I didn’t want him to stop or his time on stage to end.

Jem has a rare talent; he is one of the most grounded (pun intended) highly professional, fascinating, humble, warm, friendly and likeable individuals I have had the pleasure to meet.

At the end of every year I take a bit of time to reflect, review and evaluate the connections I have made for the inspiration and impact I felt from them.

Jeremy Hills is the most inspirational person I had the honour to meet in 2016. I am unreservedly highly recommending him to my valued client base. They and their business teams are in for a real treat.”
